What do we wear?

We will be having a Semi-Formal/Cocktail attire wedding. We encourage gentlemen to wear dress pants and a nice dress shirt or polo (ties are optional but appreciated). We encourage ladies to wear a dress, dressy separates, or a jumpsuit with heels or sandals.

Can I bring a plus one?

While we would love to have everyone join us, unless otherwise stated on your invitation envelope, we are asking to please refrain from bringing uninvited guests. We are keeping things intimate and personal for our special day and truly can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Are children allowed to attend the wedding?

Accepted Answer

As much as we would love to invite all children, we can only accommodate a select amount of family and wedding party children. We are asking that guests refrain from bringing children, unless addressed on your invitation. We hope you understand our decision and are still able to join us on our special day.

Question 4

Can I make a toast?

We are keeping speeches to a short list of pre-planned loved ones to stay on time, but we would love to hear your sweet words in the guestbook!

Can I wear my everyday clothes?

While we want you to feel most comfortable while celebrating with us we are asking that guests please refrain from wearing jeans, leggings, and/or shorts on our special day!

When should I arrive?

We will be beginning promptly at the stated ceremony time. We would be so grateful if you could arrive 15-30 minutes early to get settled and seated. We would love nothing more than to see your smile (on time) when we walk down the aisle!

When do I need to RSVP by?

Accepted Answer

Please RSVP by August 2nd, 2026 or we will assume you’re politely declining and unable to attend. While we will miss celebrating with you, we are required to provide an exact headcount to our caterer within the time they have given us. Thank you for understanding!

I know I didn’t RSVP but can I still come?

Oh how we would love to squeeze everyone in but we are working with our caterer for exact meal counts which had to be turned in a month in advance—so if you did not RSVP we will be thinking of you from afar and will save you a slice of cake in spirit!

Am I sitting with all of my friends?

We put a lot of heart into planning the seating to help everyone feel welcome and included. Trust us—your spot was chosen with intention. Who Knows? You might leave with a new friend!

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Accepted Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our photographer to be able to capture the best moments! Once the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many photos as you would like!

Is the wedding indoors?

Accepted Answer

The Ceremony will be taking place outdoors unless weather deems otherwise(in that case the ceremony will be moved into the reception hall). Cocktail hour and the Reception will be held within a climate controlled reception hall. Paper umbrellas and hand fans will be located at the ceremony site upon entrance to help with any sun exposure or heat.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes, the drinks are on us! While you won’t be able to order any drink you want there will be a wide variety of beer, wine, and seltzers to choose from. We are also excited to include a His & Hers cocktail drink which is tailored to each of our liking! Please remember to bring a valid photo ID to the reception as Whispering Hollow Estates bartenders will require identification for anyone wishing to be served alcoholic beverages.

Will transportation be provided?

We encourage ride share or Uber/Lyft services. Whispering Hollow Estate allows guests to leave their vehicles overnight if need be.

Question 16

Where do I park?

Our venue has plenty of parking available for those driving. Upon your arrival to the venue there will be signage directing you to a gravel parking lot. If you unexpectedly drink more than originally planned we kindly ask that you receive a ride home from another guest or an uber/lyft. Your car will be perfectly safe at our venue overnight and we will be more than happy to see you the next morning safe and healthy!

Do you have a wedding registry?

Your love and presence is the greatest gift of all! We have been lucky enough to build a home together already, so instead of a registry, we have created a honeymoon fund for anyone who would like to help us celebrate this next adventure!
